Star Wars Episode 8 has a couple of rumoured titles
It might be two years away, but the rumour mill is already in full swing
Star Wars: The Force Awakens has yet to make it onto DVD yet, but there’s already a host of rumours circulating about what its follow up - Star Wars Episode 8 could be called.
The next film to be released from the epic space saga will be Rogue One: A Star Wars Story in late 2016, it’ll be set between Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope.
However, the next numbered entry into the franchise is due in Christmas
2017. We’d already been treated to a mini-mini-trailer featuring new
footage of Rey and Luke Skywalker on that remote island.
But now two sources have emerged suggesting different titles for Episode VIII, the first surfaced from Reddit, a pitched Star Wars: Tale of the Jedi Temple as the next film’s title - they suggest it will be confirmed on May The Fourth, the unofficial Star Wars day.
The other title came from a Croatian Star Wars fan site, they think it will be called Star Wars: The Order of the Dark Side.
The first title could be making reference to Luke Skywalker’s search for
the first ever Jedi temple - and it’s thought that’s the location where
we find him at the end of The Force Awakens. The second seems a bit
more plausible however, as it makes reference to Kylo Ren’s league of
warriors The First Order.
The only other hint to the movie’s title was a tweet from Carrie Fisher,
which showed her dog, Gary, sat on an official Star Wars 8 chair, which
seemed to have a Panda bear designed into the logo.
